Have you ever read a book entitled “Good to Great” or “Built to last”? If you are in business or own and lead a one, these are definite ‘must reads’!
So let me take a leaf out of those great pages to describe what we are on about. Like a motor that has many parts so is the complexity of running a business. And doing that successfully is more than an art, and mostly a whole lot of luck. That makes me think of the quote, “the harder I work… the luckier I get”. I cannot remember who said that but I wish it was me.
As we pour our efforts into leading our teams around a vision and a set of goals that would maximize our resources we may find getting going a whole lot more difficult than keeping on the move. And so the concept f motivation for momentum. Just like the flywheel in a motor, an essential part of the machinery that keeps it ‘ticking over’, so we have come to find that a little motivation in the right place at the right time can energize a people, and keep the fires of momentum burning.
Letting those fires die down can be detrimental to a business, and heart breaking to a leader. There are few things worse than having to ‘cold start’ a group of people without vision, passion and energy.
So Motivation4Momentum hopes to provide insight and thought that can prove to be such a touch of motivation, at the top of the pendulum, that fuels motivation for just another cycle.
All that it takes to find success and greatness is the persistence of just one more step.
